Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited is actively involved in the refining and commercialization of petroleum products, serving both the Thai domestic market and international clients. It also provides other petroleum-based products, such as mineral and synthetic lubricants, marketed under the Mobil brand. As of December 31, 2021, its refined products were distributed through an extensive network of 731 retail service stations operating under the Esso brand. Beyond retail, Esso (Thailand) distributes these products via commercial channels, catering to industrial and commercial end-users, wholesalers, and customers in the aviation and marine sectors. The Petrochemicals division focuses on producing aromatics and other chemical compounds, along with selling benzene concentrates. Additionally, it supplies various hydrocarbon solvents, including hexane (primarily used in edible oil seed extraction and as a petrochemical carrier), rubber solvents (for adhesives and tire manufacturing), white spirits (vital for the coatings and paint industries), and Exxsol D80 (suitable for household, industrial, and metalworking applications). The company further imports and markets aromatic solvents, crucial for automotive paint coatings and pesticides, and distributes phthalate ester plasticizers used as foundational raw materials. A supplementary business activity involves leasing real estate assets. Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, the company was formerly known as Esso Standard Thailand Co., Ltd. before officially changing its name to Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited in 1996. It operates as a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Asia Holding Private Limited.
