Profile
Valeo SE, a prominent global supplier established in 1923 and headquartered in Paris, France, specializes in the design, production, and distribution of components, integrated systems, and related services for automotive manufacturers. Its market reach extends internationally across Europe (including its native France), Africa, North and South America, and Asia. The company's multifaceted operations are categorized into four primary divisions: Comfort & Driving Assistance, Powertrain, Thermal, and Visibility Systems. Within the Comfort & Driving Assistance segment, Valeo develops advanced solutions for vehicle navigation and control. This encompasses cutting-edge driver assistance systems, such as ultrasonic sensors, radar units, and cameras for comprehensive obstacle detection, alongside intuitive human-machine interfaces and a range of connectivity options from short to long distances. Furthermore, this division engineers platforms to integrate modern applications like car-sharing services and remote parking functionalities. The Powertrain Systems division concentrates on optimizing vehicle propulsion. It provides electric powertrain technologies for electric vehicles, in addition to sophisticated mechanical components such as torque converters, dual dry and wet clutches, and actuators, all designed to automate transmissions. These innovations are intended to boost fuel efficiency and enhance the driving experience. The company also contributes to the development of more environmentally friendly engine solutions. Valeo's Thermal Systems division is committed to engineering and manufacturing solutions for precise vehicle temperature management and optimal cabin comfort for occupants, prominently featuring heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Concurrently, the Visibility Systems unit develops and manufactures critical lighting and advanced wiper technologies, ensuring clear visibility for drivers in various atmospheric conditions. Beyond its main product offerings, Valeo supplies original equipment spare parts directly to vehicle producers and provides a broad selection of replacement components and accessories to the independent aftermarket for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
