UOB also handles foreign exchange (forex) transactions, documentary collections, various credit facilities, bank guarantees, and export/import finance. Its trade services extend to advising and negotiating/discounting letters of credit, managing inward and outward bill collections, and facilitating documents against acceptance and payment. For general banking needs, the company offers inward and outward remittances, FX spot and forward transactions, current accounts, and time deposit services. Catering to diverse clients, UOB provides expertise in private, commercial, corporate, and investment banking. Beyond core banking, its offerings include corporate finance, treasury management, futures brokerage, asset management, venture capital management, insurance, and stockbroking services. The bank is also active in capital markets, credit card services, private residential home loans, and extends financing to small and medium-sized enterprises. Established in 1935 and headquartered in Singapore, United Overseas Bank Limited maintains a substantial international presence, operating approximately 500 branches and offices across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and other global locations.
