Profile

Tingo Group, Inc. (TIO) is a technology company specializing in financial services and agricultural fintech, aiming to uplift and financially integrate rural farming populations across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The company organizes its business through distinct segments: Verticals and Technology, Online Stock Trading, and a Comprehensive Platform Service. A core aspect of its strategy involves providing smartphones loaded with its proprietary platform, essentially operating a device-as-a-service model. Tingo Group offers a range of platforms: Nwassa functions as a digital agricultural ecosystem, connecting farmers and agribusinesses within a unified network. An insurance platform focuses on the automotive aftermarket, linking vehicle insurance holders with a network of auto repair shops and car wash services. This platform also delivers a comprehensive suite of auto membership perks, including online gas card top-ups, shopping capabilities, streamlined insurance claim processing, roadside assistance, scheduled car wash appointments, maintenance and promotional coupons, and loyalty programs for insurance members, among other related support services. Furthermore, Tingo Group provides: TingoPay, a versatile B2C and B2B fintech "super-app" that integrates payment solutions, an e-wallet, foreign exchange services, and merchant facilities. Tingo Foods, a food processing division that converts raw agricultural products into finished goods such as rice, pasta, and noodles. Tingo DMCC, an entity dedicated to commodity trading and the export of agricultural products. The company also operates Magpie Invest, its proprietary technology platform for investment trading, which includes margin financing. Its broader service portfolio extends to smartphone leasing, an agricultural marketplace, airtime top-ups, utility and general bill payment services, e-wallet functionality, various insurance products, and access to financing and lending options. Previously known as MICT, Inc., the company officially adopted the name Tingo Group, Inc. in February 2023. Its headquarters are located in Montvale, New Jersey.
