Telefónica, S.A., along with its affiliated companies, provides an extensive portfolio of telecommunications services across both Europe and Latin America. Its mobile division offers a wide array of solutions, including voice communication, value-added features, mobile data and internet access, wholesale services, corporate connectivity, roaming, fixed wireless, and specialized trunking and paging. The company's fixed-line services encompass traditional PSTN and ISDN connections, public telephone access, and various call types—local, national, international, and fixed-to-mobile. It also delivers corporate communication solutions, supplementary value-added services, video telephony, intelligent network functionalities, and information services, in addition to leasing and selling handset equipment. For internet and broadband, Telefónica functions as an internet service provider, manages portals and networks, and provides diverse access options such as retail and wholesale broadband, narrowband switched access, high-speed fiber-to-the-home, and Voice over IP (VoIP). Its enterprise solutions cater to businesses with offerings like leased lines, virtual private networks (VPNs), fiber optics, web hosting, application management, outsourcing, consultancy, desktop support, and system integration. Furthermore, Telefónica extends wholesale services to other telecommunications operators, covering domestic and international interconnections, leased lines, local loop leasing, bitstream access, wholesale line rental, and duct infrastructure for fiber deployment. Beyond its core telecom offerings, the company has diversified into video and TV content, smart connectivity, consumer Internet of Things (IoT) products, financial and payment services, cybersecurity, cloud computing, advertising, big data analytics, and digital telecommunications experiences, featuring virtual assistants, digital home platforms, and Movistar Home devices. Additional consumer services include online telemedicine, home insurance, music streaming, and consumer loans. Telefónica was incorporated in 1924 and maintains its headquarters in Madrid, Spain.
