Profile

Kyocera Corporation, a global enterprise established in Kyoto, Japan, in 1946 (and known as Kyoto Ceramic Kabushiki Kaisha until its 1982 rebranding), is a leading innovator, manufacturer, and distributor of diverse products primarily utilizing sophisticated fine ceramic technologies. Its international footprint extends across Japan, Asia, Europe, the United States, and other global markets. The company's operations are divided into three core divisions: Core Components Business, Electronic Components Business, and Solutions Business. The Core Components Business specializes in creating and supplying advanced fine ceramic parts, components for the automotive sector, optical elements, and various inorganic and organic ceramic packages and circuit boards. These essential building blocks cater to heavy industry, general manufacturing, mobile communication infrastructure, and the automotive industry. Through its Electronic Components Business, Kyocera delivers a comprehensive range of electronic devices. This includes capacitors, crystal and surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices, connectors, advanced sensing and control units, and power semiconductor and printing devices, all vital for information and communications technology, industrial machinery, and automotive applications. The Solutions Business presents a broad portfolio of end-user products and services. This encompasses mobile devices such as smartphones, mobile phones, and communication modules for in-vehicle systems and the Internet of Things (IoT). It also provides an extensive line of printing solutions, including printers, multifunctional products, commercial inkjet printers, comprehensive document solutions, and associated supplies. Furthermore, this segment covers solar energy modules for residential and commercial installations, smart energy products like energy storage systems and management platforms, and medical devices such as prosthetic joints and dental prosthetics. Consumer goods, including jewelry and ceramic kitchenware like knives, also fall under this division. Kyocera distributes its vast product range worldwide through its dedicated sales teams, affiliated sales organizations, and a network of external distributors.
