Dallas, Texas-based JRjr33, Inc., which was previously known as CVSL Inc. until its renaming in March 2016, managed a collection of direct-to-consumer brands both within the United States and abroad. The company structured its operations into three primary divisions: home furnishings, health and wellness products, and specialty gourmet food. Its diverse product range encompassed artisan-crafted home goods like baskets, pottery, and decorative vinyl expressions; a variety of unique food items such as hand-blended spices, oils, and baking mixes; and health-centric offerings including nutritional supplements and skincare. Furthermore, JRjr33 distributed a monthly magazine and sold other merchandise, including stationery, personalized gifts, household items, and seasonal products. Sales were conducted directly to customers, through independent sales representatives, and via multiple channels such as online platforms, mail, and telephone. The company ultimately faced significant financial difficulties, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 29, 2018, with its reorganization petition subsequently converted to Chapter 7 on October 26, 2018.
