Profile
Founded in 1909 and based in West Trenton, New Jersey, Homasote Company specializes in the production and sale of building and industrial products. While primarily serving the United States, it also exports to Canada and other international markets. The company's operations are divided into two main divisions: Millboard and Industrial. The Millboard division offers products like sound insulation for walls and floors, roof and floor decking, concrete expansion joints and forming boards, and finished interior panels. The Industrial division, on the other hand, supplies specialized shapes and coated strips primarily for protecting products and aiding separation during inter-plant transit. These are crucial for sectors such as glass, paper, and metal. Additionally, this division provides packaging solutions for end-users, appliance manufacturers, and office furniture makers. Homasote's extensive product range is utilized in a wide array of applications, including sound dampening, basement and concrete slab conversions, cathedral ceilings, fire-rated products, concrete forming, decorative/tackable panels, various flooring solutions, surface protection, hobby and workshop constructions, ice rink conversions, roofing, ceiling work, shock absorption, thermal insulation, and general wall construction. Their materials are also crucial for the construction and renovation of diverse structures such as multi-family and single-family homes, commercial office buildings, educational facilities, and retail establishments. Its customer base includes building material wholesalers, contractors, and industrial manufacturers.
