Profile

GlobeImmune, Inc., a biopharmaceutical firm based in Louisville, Colorado, and founded in 1995 (originally Ceres Pharmaceuticals, Inc. until its rebranding in May 2001), specializes in creating therapeutic products for both cancer and infectious diseases. Central to its development efforts is its unique Tarmogen platform. The company's pipeline includes several key candidates: For infectious diseases: GS-4774 is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials, designed to treat individuals chronically infected with the hepatitis B virus who are also on oral antiviral suppressive therapy. Additionally, GlobeImmune has various other infectious disease programs in the preclinical stage, such as GI-19000 for tuberculosis, GI-2010 for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and GI-18000 for hepatitis D virus infections. For oncology: GlobeImmune is advancing GI-6301, which targets cancers characterized by the expression of the brachyury protein. GI-6207 is progressing through Phase 2 clinical trials for medullary thyroid cancer. Furthermore, GI-4000 is a significant asset, undergoing Phase 2b clinical trials for resected pancreatic cancer, and is also in separate Phase 2 trials for non-small cell lung cancer and colorectal cancer. To support its endeavors, GlobeImmune maintains strategic alliances with industry leaders such as Gilead Sciences, Inc. and Celgene Corporation.
