Profile

Forbes Energy Services, Ltd. operates as an independent contractor, offering a broad spectrum of critical well site services to oil and natural gas drilling and production companies across the United States. Its primary objective is to facilitate the development and enhance the output of hydrocarbon resources. The company's operations are strategically divided into three key segments: 1. Well Servicing: This segment encompasses crucial maintenance and intervention services for wells. Offerings include routine remedial repairs, the removal and replacement of downhole production equipment, comprehensive well workovers (such as in-well repairs, re-completion processes, and re-perforations), along with completion and swabbing services. Additionally, they handle plugging and abandonment procedures and provide pressure testing for oil and natural gas production systems, including scanning tubing for potential pitting and wall thickness issues. 2. Coiled Tubing: Focusing on specialized downhole operations, this segment delivers services like horizontal well completions, thorough wellbore clean-outs, maintenance, nitrogen applications, thru-tubing interventions, and formation stimulation using various acids and chemical agents. They also provide essential preparatory services both before and after hydraulic fracturing operations. 3. Fluid Logistics: This segment is dedicated to the comprehensive management of drilling and produced fluids. Its activities involve the transportation, storage, and responsible disposal of these fluids. Specific services include fluid hauling, disposal of saltwater and incidental non-hazardous oil and natural gas wastes from wells, rental of fluid storage tanks for use at well sites by operators, and the sale and transport of chemicals and fluids essential for drilling, completion, and workover processes. As of December 31, 2019, Forbes Energy Services maintained a substantial operational fleet. This included 141 well servicing rigs (comprising 134 workover rigs and 7 swabbing rigs), 103 vacuum trucks and other vehicles for fluid services, 11 proprietary disposal wells, 2,534 fluid storage tanks, and 14 coiled tubing units. Founded in 2003, Forbes Energy Services, Ltd. is headquartered in Alice, Texas.
