Established in 1982 and based in Bellevue, Washington, the company was initially named BDC Capital Inc. before rebranding as DigitalTown, Inc. in March 2007. The firm faced financial difficulties, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on September 8, 2020, which was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation on December 13, 2021.
