Profile

Conrad Industries, Inc. is a U.S.-based company specializing in the construction, modification, and upkeep of a wide array of marine vessels crafted from steel and aluminum. The company's shipbuilding operations encompass harbor tugs and various types of barges. Its barge offerings include specialized models such as crane, deck, ABS class, dry bulk cargo, aggregate, and well stim barges, in addition to numerous inland tank barges like LPG (inland, pressure, and standard) and DS tank models. Conrad Industries also manufactures offshore support vessels, ranging from liftboats and crew boats to offshore supply vessels and offshore tugs. Its fabrication portfolio further extends to inland pushboats, including towboats and river pushboats, as well as diverse ferry types, notably passenger-only and passenger-and-vehicle models. Beyond new construction, the company provides comprehensive repair and conversion services. These range from routine electrical, mechanical, propulsion, and hull maintenance to extensive overhauls and transformations of existing ships and barges. Additionally, they fabricate modular components specifically engineered for offshore floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessels and drilling rigs. Established in 1948, Conrad Industries, Inc. maintains its corporate headquarters in Morgan City, Louisiana.
