Profile

Asahi Kasei Corporation, a multinational enterprise established in Tokyo, Japan, in 1922, engages globally in the manufacturing, processing, and sale of a diverse array of products across three primary business segments: Material, Homes, and Health Care. Its expansive Material segment encompasses a broad spectrum of chemical products and functional materials. This includes foundational chemicals like caustic soda, nitric acid, ammonia, acrylonitrile, and styrene, as well as various chemical fertilizers, intermediates, polymers, and additives. The division also specializes in advanced membranes, optical and printing materials, electronic materials, and critical battery components, such as lithium-ion and lead-acid battery separators. Beyond chemicals, it produces high-performance fibers and textiles, offering products like cupro fiber, lining and stretch fabrics, a wide range of spunbond and specialty nonwovens (including deodorizing and heat-press formable types), microfiber suede, and nylon filaments. Further offerings in this segment extend to synthetic rubber, elastomers, household goods, cleaning products, packaging solutions, electronic devices, and construction materials such as autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), foundation systems, insulation, and structural components. The Homes segment provides integrated residential solutions, spanning the construction of both houses and apartments, professional management for rental units and condominiums, and brokerage services for pre-owned properties. Additionally, this segment delivers remodeling services, mortgage financing, asset management, and insurance products tailored for homeowners. Finally, Asahi Kasei's Health Care segment is a key player in the medical field, developing and distributing pharmaceuticals and diagnostic reagents. It manufactures critical medical equipment, including dialyzers and therapeutic apheresis devices. The company also supplies advanced filtration products for biotherapeutics, plasma derivatives, virus removal, and leukocyte reduction. Complementing these are life-saving technologies like defibrillators, sophisticated temperature management systems, data solutions for healthcare applications, and innovative UVC LED products.
